This first full length release by Madrid's hard working KHMER is a pulverising blast of blackened d-beats and huge, melodically led, almost stadium-crust riffs. These 8 tracks showcase an inherent understanding of dynamic effect, flowing between super fast Grindcore hyper-blasts, the aforementioned air-punching d-beats and reverberating atmospheric post-sludge interludes with a smoothness and strong sense of purpose. No song overstays its welcome, the longest being the 5 minute title track 'Larga Sombra', and the whole album maintains its pace throughout, creating a sense of tension and urgency even in their atmospheric moments. The band draws from a cocktail of the genres and sounds mentioned previously, compressed and flitered through their personal perpectives to create a noise that is truely their own.
A focus on the self is present throughout the release, in lyrics primarily dealing with concepts of loss, isolation and bleak moments of chilling sorrow. This theme is strongly reflected in the art that accompanies the album which was created by vocalist Mario C. Vaises and recalls work by illustrators such as Derek Hess and Niklas Sundin among others.
The musical production is extremely clean, with very tight and punchy drums cutting precisely through the mix along with sharp high-gain guitars and a growling, distortion-tinted bass under-pinning the whole release, it is an impressive testament to the recording and engineering skills of guitarist Ivan Ferro (the album was recorded at his studio, Kollapse Studio, Lugo) that the band sounds so balanced on this release.

This is a crushing first album with a great attention to detail, consistent themes and tone with enough musical variety in its 25 minute run-time to satisfy any fan of high energy blackened crust or metalpunk!

'Larga Sombra' is out on the 11th of August 2017, LP/CD/MC/BOX & Digital available worldwide from WOOAAARGH. The album is also available from Long Legs Long Arms (JPN), Halo Of Flies (US), Violence In The Veins (ESP) and from the spanish record labels The Braves Records & In My Heart Empire. The limited Cassette Edition is a co-release with Catmouth Records (MYS).

CAPTAIN CAVEMAN unleash a torrent of ear-rending bass and drums Powerviolence on their first full length 'Failed Species'. Opening in classic Grind style with a three second sample the German trio immediately set about bullying the listener's ears on the furious opener "Taste The Waste", stacatto blasting riffs interspersed with stomping d-beats are the theme here and do not relent throughout the release. Comparisons can easily be made to contemporary Powerviolence greats like Water Torture or Iron Lung and Grind legends such as The Afternoon Gentlemen, or maybe even the metallic edges of an act like Rotten Sound in places, the performence captured on this album is characteristically tight and concise.

Instrumentaly the bands most obvious comparison would be a something like a more controlled Water Torture, with faster, more legible drums and the noise breaks replaced with movie samples, aesthetically CAPTAIN CAVEMAN's sound shares some similarities with their fellow countrymen in Trigger, though vocally divergent and with a much cleaner production. The bass maintains a buzzing intensity throught the 19 tracks, moving between fast trem-picking blast sections and churning mosh riffs seemlessly. Drums are at the forefront in the mix, kicks pounding ears ringing from the clanging snare without losing anything under oscilating layers of fizzing bass. The vocals follow three distinct styles, from the harsh grind roar, through the more shrill scream generally associated with more 'technical' groups, to the classic PV yob shouting like Man Is The Bastard. Lyrically the release pulls no punches, focusing on decline in society and the failure of the species with little subtlety spared, matching the ferocity of the instruments.

This is a pummeling release with a sledgehammer's lack of subtlety that leaves no time for the brain to catch up. It will reduce the listener to embracing their inner caveman in under 14 minutes! The album is out this summer on WOOAAARGH, Hackebeil, Let The Bastards Grind, BMX Outlaw, Knochen Tapes, Wembley Prod. on LP, MC, Digital.

Sludgey hardcore Trier trio EARTHGRAVE summon a crawling miasma of growling guitars, hoarse screams and driving drums on their debut album 'The Verge Of Human Abyss' fit to make EyeHateGod proud.
The band move between grooving mid-tempo doom-tinged sludge into chugging hardcore breakdown territory with ease and competence, with the occasional punk outburst and d-beat bringing the tempo back up, almost in places touching on old school death metal akin to Realm Of Chaos era Bolt Thrower.
Art on this release mirrors the lyrics and vocals; bleak, monochrome imagery collaged together with ragged edges showing, hinting at themes of suffering and the worst elements of human nature.
'The Verge Of Human Abyss' drops on the 7th of July via WOOAAARGH on CD/MC and digital download. The limited Casette Edition is a co-release with our buddies from Black Omega Recordings.

Euglena have been pushing tunes to destroy your ears since their inception. This song offers more arpeggios than usually expected from them, but with force, with tremendous force. The riffage and the composition get the high level of score. This is plainfully straightforward.

Kolchak hails from St-Petersburg, Russia. This creature has decided to dispense vocals and provides us with an entirely instrumental sound where guitars, bass and drums take on the entire role. They belong to the postrock field with the epic, brutal and beautiful sides, with that little bit of commanding punk.

We are pleased to announce that we will release Terminus, the new album by Italian progressive Death Metal band WHILE SUN ENDS. The tracks on the album cross the sound-spectrum and combine beautiful female vocals with death metal growls. While the album does span across a number of genres, the sound is quite similar in style to bands such as Katatonia, Opeth, Isis and Ihsahn. Terminus is the first album to feature new singer Stefania Torino and will be released on August 26 2016.

Terminus is the second full-length album by WHILE SUN ENDS. It contains 8 tracks written between 2012 and 2015 The album was mixed by Riccardo “Paso” Pasini (Ephel Duath, Handful of Hate, Blindead, Sunpocrisy...) at Studio73 (Ravenna – Italy) and mastered by Collin Jordan (Voivod, Pelican, Eyehategod, Ministry) at Boiler Room Studio (Chicago).

WOOAAARGH and Get A Life Records! are pleased to announce that they will co-release the 10th-anniversary edition of Initial by Swiss hardcore legends CORTEZ. The album is completely remixed and remastered and will be issued on 12” vinyl on September 9th 2016.
This release is also the end of an era, in the sense that today only the two of the original trio remain, the composers Grégoire Quartier and Samuel Vaney. Like their 2^nd album Phoebus, this re-edition has been mixed and mastered by Samuel Vaney at their Autoclave Studio in Singapore.

LAMBS is a four-man band from Italy who play crushing misanthropic sludge, crust and black metal. The sound flees from birth rather than death, in a limbo between salvation and complete decay which resonates roughly throughout your vertebrae.

Don’t expect any fast rides, on the contrary, NIČITEĽ takes it the other way round, from the forest, the dark coves of the Slovak Paradise, where the river Hornad has carved a valley into the rocks for centuries as they destroy you with their upsetting evil sound relying only on bass, drums and a painful shriek.

Founded in the city of Spišská Nová Ves, Slovakia in early 2012 NIČITEĽ released their debut “Hnev panteónu” in September 2014. This was followed by 2 split EPs and more than 30 live shows covering the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

NIČITEĽ are set to release their new album 'Matka' on the 16th of August 2016. Consisting of 12 new tracks, the album proves that the band has taken a significant step forward and created a more powerful and emotionally intense sound. Hosting a violin on 4 tracks, using field recordings and more thought through arrangements and lyrics, what was once a straightforward release of neanderthal anger gained a sense of deeper thought.

Brutal Death Metal band Decaying Purity was established in 2005 in Istanbul. Mustafa Gürcalioglu (guitars) and Onur Gazioglu (drums) who played together before in another band founded the bases of this new group and started immediatly to write songs and orderly studio works.

Decaying Purity released a demo and two brutal albums between 2005 - 2012, and at the end of the year 2013 their highly acclaimed 3rd album was fully written. At this time, Malik left the band and the remaining members started recording the album at Sound Damage Productions with producer Ünsal Özata. In January 2014 , the recording of “Malignant Resurrection Of The Fallen Souls” was completed, and the album was released by Sevared Records in April 2014.
Now we are proud to announce that we will finally release this masterpiece on vinyl, it comes with a heavy Gatefold Sleeve, a full colored artwork by Paolo Girardi printed on the reverse side of the board and it's available on orange marbled and black vinyl.

Decaying Purity are currently on tour, and they are part of this years Obscene Extreme Fest.
